The Hatter's Table
The Hatter's Table is a frantic competitive puzzle-solving game in which players obey the etiquette of the Mad Hatter's tea party while trying to deduce the other guests' secret rules. The Hatter's Table was collected by USC Doheny Library and was named as an Official Selection of the IndieCade Festival in 2011. In 2012 it was featured at the Game Night on the Terrace (Westfield Mall, Century City, CA) and it was one of the games at the Heritage Scare interactive haunted house in 2016 and 2017.
There are two versions of The Hatter's Table. The first version is a board game for three players, which is accompanied by a series of audio tracks (originally on an included CD) giving the players instructions. The second version is a big game, played by up to eight people at a time at a full sized dinner table, with moderation by a live actor portraying the Hatter. The gameplay of The Hatter's Table was inspired by the logical and mathematical works of Charles Dodgson, who wrote Alice in Wonderland under the pen name Lewis Carroll.
